Originally released in 2005, Tea & Sympathy marked a turning point for Bernard Fanning. It was an opportunity to explore a more personal, introspective style of songwriting outside of Powderfinger.

Featuring songs like Wish You Well, which topped the triple j Hottest 100 in 2005, and fan favourites like Songbird and Watch Over Me, the album debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, remained in the Top 50 for over a year, and was certified 5 Platinum. It won ARIA Awards for Album of the Year, Best Male Artist, and Best Cover Art. Bernard was also named APRA Songwriter of the Year.

To mark its 20th anniversary, a new edition brings together B-sides, unreleased material, acoustic versions, and reinterpretations by artists including The Paper Kites and Troy & Jem Caesar Daly.
